model predictive control experiments
overview
As part of a graduate student research team, I designed, implemented, conducted, and analyzed dozens of experiments using several different sensors and actuators to support graduate and post-graduate research projects studying a model predictive control algorithm developed by the team called Predictive Cost Adaptive Control (PCAC).
my role
I coded PCAC to Matlab and Simulink for use with a dSpace Scalexio system (shown bottom-left).
I supported the assembly and completion of numerous control experiments in a Rijke Tube to characterize PCAC performance for thermoacoustic oscillation suppression (shown right).
I designed and implemented experimental configurations for an acoustic testbench to characterize PCAC performance for harmonic disturbance rejection (bottom-center).
